A Day in the Life of Us

By Janys Chambers

Directed by Janys Chambers & Produced by Deborah Dickinson

Glyn and Sarah are trying to open a new Youth Club.  But will anyone come?  Or are they just going to end up playing their own Board Games?

Everyone seems to be worried about something.  Chloe’s worried about her hair, Lila’s worried she’s not as clever Mia, Mia’s worried she’s too clever for her own good,  Mason’s worried about his job, Nathan thinks he’s an alien. And as for Molly and Tommy – well, no-one knows what’s going on with Molly; and where exactly is Tommy?

A Day in the Life of Us was inspired by stories shared by young people across Wales: true stories; made-up stories; hopes and dreams; stories about the many challenges of being young and living in Wales – and the world – today.

"I loved it. The dialogue was so real, you could identify with all of the characters."

"I LOVED the bus scene. The singing – the choreography, the simple yet descriptive set. The neon ties – THE TALENT WOW. The sleep scene at the end had me crying."

First performed at Theatr Twm O’r Nant, Denbigh on 2 & 3 April 2022 by a company of young actors across North Wales and professional actors.
