The Wasteground Circus

A play by Janys Chambers

TWC.jpg

A magical new show set in a futuristic Britain that fuses the best of theatre with the spectacle and thrill of circus. A warm, funny and moving story suitable for everyone over the age of 8.

It is 2080 and most of Britain is under water.  Frankie and Lex are desperately trying to keep their friendship going, meeting once a week at an abandoned playground on the top of a hill, close to the tower block where Frankie lives.

One day, a circus comes to their wasteground.  It’s got sensational strong men, stunning acrobats, and women flying through the air, but it’s not quite what they expect. And what will happen when the circus leaves?
